EXTRA: ‘I have a new car’ — Nasarawa APC LG chairman organises thanksgiving service for ‘political success’

Malle Moses, caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa Eggon local government area (LGA), says Godiya Akwashiki, lawmaker representing Nasarawa north senatorial district, changed his status from a motorbike rider to a car owner.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service at Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC), on Sunday, Moses said he deemed it necessary to appreciate God over his political success.

According to NAN, he listed his political achievements from his time as a ward chairman, adding that his journey to becoming the LGA caretaker chairman is by divine intervention.

“I organised this thanksgiving service to appreciate God over my life and over my political successes. I was a one-time Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) chairman in my ward, Ogba; a councillor, overseer, Akun development area; APC deputy chairman, Nasarawa Eggon LGA, and acting APC chairman, Nasarawa Eggon LGA. And now APC caretaker chairman, Nasarawa Eggon LGA,” he was quoted to have said.

“I have been using a motorbike and now, senator Godiya Akwashiki has donated a brand new car to me. What do I have to say to God, to thank and appreciate him over my political success? Hence the need for this thanksgiving.”

Moses also advised residents to support Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa, for his efforts on implementing people-oriented projects.

“Governor Abdullahi Sule, senator Godiya Akwashiki, Mr Mohammed Muluku, representing Nasarawa Eggon east constituency at the state assembly, and Mr Mohammed Idris, the chairman, Nasarawa Eggon local government council are doing well,” Moses said.
