Hassan Hyat, chairman, Kaduna state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says senators are protected by the power of the Holy Ghost.
Hyat said this on Monday while responding to the caustic remarks made by Nasir el-Rufai, governor of the state, over the $350 million World Bank loan application rejected by the senate.
Describing the the three senators representing the state as useless, el-Rufai asked the people to vote them out in 2019.
“Today, there are no haters of the masses of Kaduna state like Shehu Sani, Suleiman Hunkuyi and Danjuma Laah, God will curse them. God will reward their wickedness against the masses, may God never bless them,” el-Rufai had said.

But addressing party supporters at a reception for decampees of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zonkwa, Zangon Kataf local government area of the state, Hyat said anybody who cursed the senators is also cursing himself.
“We don’t insult people because we have respect for the government house, but I want to tell you that we are proud of our three senators in the national assembly who stopped plans to shortchange the people,” said Hyat who spoke in Hausa.
“May God bless the senators. Anybody who cursed them, may the curse return to the person – Holy Ghost power, Holy Ghost power, Holy Ghost power. We will not curse them, but we pray to God.”
