The Kano Hisbah board has arrested a pharmacist for allegedly taking a young woman to his house.
The pharmacist identified as Yahaya Zakari was said to have taken the young woman to his house located at Sabuwar Gandu area of Kano.
According to NAN, Harun Ibn-Sina, commander general of the board, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued in Kano on Friday.
Ibn-Sina explained that the arrest was carried out after the corps received reports from residents of the area.

“The young woman went to buy drugs from Zakari’s chemist when he took her to his house,” he said.
Reacting to the alleged action, he said the board would ensure that the development is thoroughly investigated.
He asked parents to closely monitor the movement of their children, particularly female wards to avoid unwanted incidents.

Meanwhile, the Kano Hisbah board had earlier placed a ban on the use of mannequins at shops, public and private places by tailors and boutique owners for clothes display.
Hisbah is a religious corps responsible for the implementation of Shariah law in Kano.
