EXTRA: Kano LGA boss appoints 60 aides to oversee markets, motor parks, slaughter houses

Yusuf Imam, chairman of Nassarawa LGA in Kano state, has appointed 60 personal aides to various roles within the council.

The appointments were announced in a letter dated January 6 and signed by Ado Muhd Hotoro, secretary of the LGA.

According to the letter, the decision was based on merit and aimed at promoting the development of the council.

In the letter, some of the appointees were asked to oversee markets, slaughter houses, groups and associations, tribe and gender, primary healthcare centres, and motor parks.

“Sequel to the efforts of the Honourable Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government to promote and develop the local government area, I wish to convey the approval for the appointment of the following prominent individuals to various roles across different fields and professions,” the letter reads.

“These appointments are based on merit, dedication, honesty and commitment and the hope that they will carry out their assigned duties diligently.”

Iman, a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), was elected as the chairman of Nassarawa LGA in October 2024.
