Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, on Monday, inspected a 50-meter-high flagpole, said to be the tallest in Nigeria.
The 50-meter-high-pole is situated in Malam Alu Integrated Agro and Allied farm complex in Birnin-Kudu LGA in Jigawa state.
The minister said the initiator of the project, Farouk Adamu, former minority leader in the house of representatives, “used one stone to kill two birds” by showcasing successes in agriculture and tourism.
“He is not only showcasing success in agriculture, he is also helping to make Jigawa a choice destination for tourists by erecting the tallest Nigerian flagpole in the country,” he said.
