Kola Ologbondiyan, spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has described Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a factional leader of the ruling party.

In a tweet on Thursday, Ologbondiyan said the call for Senate President Bukola Saraki to resign by Oshiomhole is laughable and sickening.

On Wednesday, the APC chairman had asked Saraki to step down as the senate president after defecting to PDP.

Ologbondiyan tweeted, “The call for Bukola Saraki to resign as the senate president by the factional chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole is laughable and sickening. Well, Oshiomhole is playing his undertaker role perfectly.

On July 4, Buba Galadima, a former chieftain of the ruling party, led aggrieved APC members to a new faction known as Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC).

Galadima later asked a federal high court in Abuja to annul the convention of the ruling party, declare offices of the national working committee (NWC) executives “null and void” and pronounce him interim chairman.
