EXTRA: People causing insecurity are not spirits, says Bauchi gov

Bala Mohammed, Bauchi state governor, says the individuals fuelling insecurity are not spirits, hence they can be apprehended.

The governor spoke on Saturday while addressing traditional rulers at Nabordo district of Toro LGA of the state.

“Traditional rulers are closer to the people. As a result, they serve as a bridge between the people and government. They also help to translate government policies and programmes for the people,” he said.

“There is no gainsaying the fact that peace is central and key to human existence and development.

“I implore traditional rulers across the state to create synergy with all our law enforcement agencies, to achieve the most desired peace and security.

“They are not spirits at all and working closely with the security agencies, these undesirable elements in society should not be accommodated.”
