The police command in Delta has arrested Benedict Toju, a resident of the state, for allegedly accusing officers of stealing his manhood.
Speaking at the parade of suspects on Friday, Bright Edafe, Delta police spokesperson, said the vehicle conveying Toju and his friends was stopped at a checkpoint, after which officers conducted a search and allowed them to leave.
“To our greatest surprise, this suspect returned and claimed that, after the police search, his manhood had disappeared,” Edafe said.
“We keep hearing such stories, but we have never encountered one person whose manhood truly disappeared.

“This is why we continue to set an example in such cases. Let them go to court and explain how their manhood disappears when it is confirmed to be intact.”
When asked by Edafe to explain what transpired, Toju said when he left the police checkpoint, he was “feeling somehow”.
“When I left, I was feeling somehow, so I came back to the police checkpoint to explain how I was feeling, which was very wrong,” he said.

“They brought me to the station. After which the DPO requested a doctor’s examination, which was conducted and confirmed that my penis is intact.”
Asked why he accused the police officers of “stealing” his manhood, Toju said he was scared that his private organ was “shrinking and small” after the stop-and-search exercise.
Toju added that he later realised that the “shrinking” of his manhood was a result of the “panic” he experienced during the stop-and-search exercise.
