Le Bijou, a Swiss luxury hotel, has launched a COVID-19 service for wealthy clients.
Bloomberg Wealth reports that the hotel is offering clients meal delivery and medical services including COVID-19 tests.
According to Alexander Hübner, the co-founder and chief executive officer of Le Bijou Hotel & Resort Management, quarantine apartments in Zurich, Zug and Lucerne are available for about 200 Swiss francs to 800 Swiss francs ($822 or N295,920) a day.
Hübner also said the hotel partnered with a private Swiss health-care service to provide guests twice daily nurse visits for an additional 800 francs a day or even an in-room virus test for 500 francs.

Since the service was launched a week ago, the CEO said five bookings have been made for the new Covid-19 service while half of the 42 units available have been occupied by guests.
Clients are also being offered private monitoring and full-isolation options if units are able to operate without staff
“They don’t need to shake hands with anyone,” Hübner said adding that the service was launched as a way of generating income during the crisis.

The hospitality industry has been badly affected by the coronavirus outbreak as governments across the world have banned large gatherings, tourist activities and restaurants.
Several airlines have also suspended flight operations. In Nigeria, international airports have been shut down.
