Fulham finished the game with nine men after the club’s coach and two players were sent off in the space of 40 seconds in their 3-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
Goals from Bruno Fernandes (brace) and Marcel Sabitzer helped Man United come from behind to claim a win that sees them qualify for the semi-finals of the competition.
Alexandr Mitrovic scored Fulham’s goal as the Red Devils were dominated by their London opponents who went ahead on 50 minutes when the forward slammed in at the back post to give the visitors the lead.

Marco Silva, Fulham’s manager, was thereafter sent off for excessive complaints while Mitrovic, who grabbed the referee in the ensuing melee, was also sent off to complete Fulham’s 40 seconds of madness.
Fernandes tucked in the penalty kick to restore parity before Sabitzer flicked in from close range to put United in the lead.
The Portuguese international then sealed the win in added time when he blasted in a shot to confirm Man United’s latest appearance in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Man United will now play Brighton in the semi-final at Wembley.
