FAAN announces runway repairs at Lagos airport, but says flights won’t be affected

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says inbound and outbound flights at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos will continue operations unhindered.

FAAN said this in a statement on Wednesday, signed by Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, assistant general manager, corporate affairs, FAAN.

This was in reaction to reports that flights have been diverted to neighbouring countries due to runway repairs.

The agency said while there is a planned renovation of the runways from June 4 to 5, 2022, flights will not be affected.
