On Monday, operatives of the Lagos state police command announced that it raided a printing press where election materials for Ekiti state governorship election were being printed.
Two people were arrested in the premises of O’Naphtali Company Limited in the Gbagada area of the state. Imohimi Edgal, the state commissioner of police, identified the owner of the press as Eniola Fayose.
The police commisioner, however, added that preliminary investigations showed the company is said to be in a contractual agreement with the Ekiti state Independent Electoral Commission to print materials for the election.
Coincidentally, Eniola bears the same surname with Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti.

The development has sent tongues wagging with some alleging that Eniola is a relative of Fayose who has endorsed Kolapo Olusola, his deputy, to succeed him.

TheCable did a background check and discovered that contrary to speculations, Eniola is not related to Fayose.
Based in Lagos, he has been running O’Naphtali Company Limited as its managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) for years. Although from Ekiti, the entrepreneur and the governor are from different local government areas.

While he hails from Ikere-Ekiti the governor is from Afao-Ekiti.
In an interview with Daily Sun, the man said he is in no way related to Fayose. According to him, “the name Fayose is an Ekiti name. But then, I am not in any way related to the governor.”
