Olu Falae, national chairman, Social Democratic Party (SDP), has urged Muhammadu Buhari, the president-elect, to implement the 2014 national conference report on assumption of office.
Falae said the implementation of the report would help to revamp and re-launch the country.
“I want to advise Major-General Muhammadu Buhari that he should see government as a continuum,” he told NAN.
“I urge him that as soon as he is inaugurated, he settle down to initiate action on the implementation of the report of the 2014 national conference.

“The implementation of that report in my humble opinion is the blueprint for restructuring Nigeria, revamping Nigeria and re-launching Nigeria into a new orbit.”
Falae, who congratulated the president-elect for the victory, said his election would send signal that rampant corruption would no longer be tolerated.
“It sends a signal that the rampant corruption will no longer be tolerated and that public officers must disengage from corruption and take their career seriously with leadership by example,” he said.

“I feel proud as a Nigerian that the outcome of the election, for the first time in Nigeria possibly in Africa, power changed hands peacefully from one political party to another through the ballot box.”
Falae commended President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat even before the final announcement of the result and praised INEC. But he urged the commission to work towards avoiding hitches that almost marred the election in some parts of the country.
