Falconets show superiority over Liberia with 7-0 win

Nigeria’s U-20 women national team, the Falconets, defeated Liberia 7-0 at the Abuja National Stadium on Saturday.

After a 7-1 win in the first leg of their second round fixture for the 2016 FIFA U-20 World Cup finals in Monrovia two weeks ago, Chinaza Uchendu got the Nigerian girls on the way to another basket of goals with a 23rd minute strike.

Amarachi Ojinma netted the second in the 26th minute and Aminat Yakubu got on the scoresheet nine minutes later.

The prolific Yetunde Adeboyejo got a goal from the penalty spot in the 39th minute to end the first half 4-0.

In the second half, substitute Joy Bokiri got the fifth in the 71st minute before Yakubu scored her second goal of the match in the 74th minute.

Bokiri got her own brace six minutes from the end to complete the rout.
