The Super Falcons of Nigeria have qualified for the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON).
The senior female team sealed the qualification after an emphatic 6-0 victory over Gambia in their second leg clash at the Agege Stadium on Monday.
Desire Oparanozie was in ruthless form as she netted four goals for the eight-time African champions while Asisat Oshoala scored a brace.
Coach Thomas Dennerby’s charges opened the scoring in the third minute when Oparanozie slotted home from the penalty spot after Francisca Ordega had been impeded in the box.
