The Super Falcons have been scheduled to play Canada’s women’s team in a friendly game.
In a tweet on its X page on Monday, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced that the match will be played on Wednesday behind closed doors at the team’s base in Seville, Spain.
The match will be held as final preparation for the Falcons before they depart Spain for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Nigeria will be in Group C of the women’s football event at the Games, alongside Spain, Japan, and Brazil.

Falcons will play at the tournament for the first time in 16 years.
Canada are the defending the champions of the women’s football event after defeating Sweden in the final of the Tokyo Olympics.
The last meeting between the team and Falcons ended in a goalless draw at the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Randy Waldrum, Falcons head coach, and his team have been in Spain for a two-week training camp and are scheduled to head to France on July 18.
The team is placed in Group C and will play Brazil on July 25 before facing Spain three days later and Japan in the final game in the group on July 31.
In a recent chat with TheCable, Asisat Oshoala assured Nigerians that Falcons have enough talent to successfully navigate the tough group.
