Mo Farah has won the 5,000m at the Birmingham Grand Prix.
The British four-time Olympic champion set a new European record of 13 minutes, 9.16 seconds.
Farah, the most successful British track athlete in modern Olympic games history, was pushed hard by Bahrain’s Albert Rop.
“I had amazing support from the crowd today and I can’t quite believe it’s my last indoor race,” said Farah.

“I’ve had a great career indoors and particularly on this track. I knew I needed to do some work after Edinburgh, I had to leave my family but hard work pays off.”
The Birmingham Grand Prix is the final indoor race of his career.
Mo Farah is the 2012 and 2016 Olympic gold medalist in both the 5000m and 10,000m.

He is the second athlete in modern Olympic games history, after Lasse Viren, to successfully defend the 5,000m and 10,000m titles.
Farah also completed the distance double at the 2013 and 2015 world championship in athletics.
The 33-year-old has said he’ll focus on road racing after the world championships in London in August.
