Fayemi congratulates Akwa Ibom gov over election victory

Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti state, has congratulated Udom Emmanuel, his Akwa Ibom counterpart, on his victory in the March 9 gubernatorial election.

In a letter dated March 14, and signed by Fayemi, the All Progressive Congress (APC) governor celebrated the victory of Emmanuel.

He said winning the election showed that he did well in his first term.

“The victory is an affirmation and reward for your previous performance by your people. You were favoured and re-elected because your people found you so worthy and deserving,” the letter read.

“Your people renewed the confidence in you and further entrust you with the management of their commonwealth. I am confident that you will justify this with renewed vigor and more development across the state.

“I have no doubt in my mind that you performed well and impressed your people with your first term mandate; this must have informed their decision to support your second tern bid. Please keep up the good work and do more to continuously and positively affect the people. I look forward to your cooperation in our renewed quest to move our States forward and further enshrine good governance in Nigeria, collectively. May God strengthen us to leave our States, and Nigeria, better than we met her.”
