Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state, has congratulated Kayode Fayemi, his successor, for his election as chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
Fayemi emerged at a meeting of the forum on Wednesday.
In a tweet on Thursday, Fayose who has been critical of Faymei’s government, said Fayemi’s appointment is well deserved.
“I congratulate Gov Kayode Fayemi on his appointment and elevation as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF),” he tweeted.

“It is well deserved for you and the entire people of Ekiti. Politics will come and go, but Ekiti State will remain eternal.
“Once again, you have my best wishes.”

Fayemi defeated Kolapo Olusola, Fayose’s deputy, in the last gubernatorial election in the state, and Fayose had described his successor’s victory as pyrrhic, saying his party would work tirelessly until it gets justice.
