Fayose continues mass sack

Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, has fired all the local government education secretaries in the state.

He directed them to hand over government property in their care to the most senior officers.

According to a press state‎ment issued on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti by Idowu Adelusi, the chief press secretary to the governor, the dismissal “takes immediate effect”.

The governor had said during his inauguration ceremony that he would “hand over education to professionals”.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti state had also threatened to lay off workers recruited by Kayode Fayemi’s administration after the June 21 governorship election.

It condemned the massive recruitment in the twilight of Fayemi’s tenure in office, warning that the beneficiaries should consider themselves on temporary appointment.

Since Fayose assumed office on October 16, he has sacked all local government caretaker chairmen, their secretaries and other members of caretaker committees.

    1. You trust him because those sacked are not your siblings I guess. What us right in sacking people who have been employed by a legitimate authority? Are they not Ekitans? There us some sick about our leaders. Must every decision be political and an ego trip. Since Mr. Fayose assumed office, he has turned governance to a joke. Who does he want to impress by been in the media for the wrong reasons. Power is transient like he found out in his first tenure, unfortunately it seems he has not learnt any lesson. I wish him luck in the new adventure. The chicken will soon come home to roost

  1. I don’t really think Mr. Governor is ready to do anything for the Ekiti people. He should study the terrain and settle down to prosecute the mandate given to him by his people-not dismantling the human institutions erected by his predecessor.

  2. Those people being sack by this fayose are the set of people clamouring for his return.i pity my fellow Ekiti people for the next four years
