I feel blessed, says Ogu after leading Eagles to win over Weah-captained Liberia

John Ogu, Super Eagles midfielder, says he is happy to have captained the team in Tuesday’s international friendly against Liberia.

Liberian president, George Oppong Weah, was the captain of the opposing side.

Weah, who played for 79 minutes, had his iconic number 14 jersey retired after the game.

Goals from Henry Onyekuru and Simeon Nwankwo spiced up Nigeria’s 2-1 victory at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia.
