Felix Obuah, director-general of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers, has commended the people of the state for voting for the party in the governorship election.

Obuah, who is the former PDP chairman in the state, also congratulated Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers governor-elect.

Jerry Needam, a member of the campaign council, released a statement on Wednesday quoting Obuah as saying the people of Rivers voted for the PDP for continuity.

“Fubara is another choice rightly made by the people to continue to enjoy good governance and democracy at its best which is the result of the choice of Wike,” he said.
