The federal government has announced a planned total closure of the Third Mainland Bridge for repairs.
In a statement on Monday, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, Lagos commissioner for information, said the total closure is to allow the contractor in charge execute a major aspect of ongoing repair works on the bridge.
The total closure will affect both bounds of the carriageways from 12 pm on Wednesday (28th February) to 12 pm on Thursday (29th February).
“Consequently, all road users are advised to use alternative routes already provided during this period as the bridge would not be opened to traffic for 24-hours,” he said.
