The federal government has urged all state governments to allow free movement of people on Saturday to enable students to participate in JAMB’s voluntary mock examination scheduled for the day.
Many states observe the last Saturday of the month as cleanup day. The exercise takes place between 7am and 10am, but Lagos has stopped doing so.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Friday, Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, said the mock examination is being conducted ahead of the 2017 UTME to enable interested students to familiarise themselves with the computer-based test (CBT) test environment.
The test was initially billed to hold two weeks ago, but logistics hitches led to its postponement.
