Aisha Buhari, wife of the president, says the federal government is fully committed to the protection and promotion of the rights of women and children.
She said this in Sokoto on Tuesday during the celebration of the 2016 World Sickle Cell Day.
Represented by Kulu Sifawa, Sokoto commissioner for women and children affairs, the president’s wife advised people to develop interest in knowing their genotypes.
“Nigerians should also endeavour to know their genotypes through testing,” she said.
