President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the deployment and redeployment of some permanent secretaries in some ministries and commissions.
This was conveyed in a circular dated August 28 and signed by Folasade Yemi-Esan, head of service.
Twelve permanent secretaries were redeployed in new ministries and commissions, 13 were deployed and 15 were directed to remain at their original positions.
However, Evelyn Ngige, wife of Chris Ngige, minister of employment and labour, was directed to remain at her post as permanent secretary, service welfare office.

Also, Gabriel Aduda, brother to Phillip Aduda, federal capital territory (FCT) senator, was not affected. He is currently the permanent secretary of youths and sports ministry.
“His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the deployment and redeployment of the underlisted permanent secretaries,” Yemi-Esan said.
“Accordingly, handing and taking-over processes should be completed on the effective dates.”
