The federal government has unveiled the “Youth Activity Dashboard” to track programmes for young people in the various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) and create opportunities for them.
Speaking at the launch of the dashboard at an event in Abuja on Tuesday, Titilope Gbadamosi, special assistant to the president on youth initiatives (monitoring and delivery), said the “technological milestone” would place the youth at the heart of the country’s development agenda.
Gbadamosi, whose office is domiciled in the federal ministry of youth development, said the platform would ensure that there is transparency in the manner in which young people are empowered across the country.

“With over 60% of Nigeria’s population under the age of 25, our young people represent the greatest opportunity for growth, innovation, and leadership,” she said.
“The Youth Activity Dashboard is not merely a platform,,it is a transformative tool that will revolutionize how we:
Track and monitor – aggregating data on youth-focused projects from MDAs, the private sector, and development partners.
Analyze and evaluate – providing real-time insights to measure the impact and relevance of these initiatives.
“However, this potential can only be harnessed when youth-focused initiatives are effectively designed, implemented, and monitored.

“By identifying successes and gaps, we can amplify what works and course-correct what does not, ensuring no young person is left behind.
“I must commend our MDAs for their dedication and efforts in implementing youth development programs across sectors such as education, employment, health, technology, and agriculture.”
The presidential aide added that the success of the initiative is dependent on all stakeholders.
