The federal government has unveiled initiatives to improve revenue and budget performance.

Wale Edun, minister of finance, unveiled the initiatives on July 3 when he attended the budget performance meeting at the national assembly.

According to a statement on Friday by Mohammed Manga, the ministry’s director of press and public relations, the meeting was chaired by Solomon Adeola.

“Key highlights include introduction of innovative revenue models, such as a single window source for generating revenue,” Manga said.

“Ongoing significant reforms within the financial sector to ensure efficiency and transparency.”

He said these reforms aim to boost economic growth, improve government finances, and ensure a sustainable future for Nigeria.

Edun, according to the director, reiterated the government’s commitment to working with the national assembly to ensure the successful implementation of these reforms.

He said the minister emphasised the importance of collaboration between the executive and the legislative arms of government in achieving economic prosperity for the country.

Manga said the meeting demonstrates the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in managing the nation’s finances.
