World football governing body, FIFA, has upheld the results of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) executive committee elections of September 30 that brought the Amaju Pinnick-led body into office.
In a letter dated December 9, FIFA declared they have backed the majority report of the NFF electoral appeals committee which upheld the elections in Warri.
The clarification came after two reports were released by the committee members and chairman within twenty-four hours of each other, with conflicting decisions.
“We note the majority decision of the electoral appeals committee to uphold in their entirety the results of the elective congress held in Warri on 30 September 2014,” read the letter in part.

“We are therefore pleased to be able to start working with the new office bearers headed by NFF president, Amaju Pinnick.
“We will contact you in the coming days to organise an introductory meeting between Mr Pinnick and FIFA president in Zurich.”
