The final rites for the installation of Gani Adams, national coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), as the 15th aare ona kakanfo of Yorubaland, will begin on Wednesday.
Lamidi Adeyemi, alaafin of Oyo, named Adams as aare ona kakanfo on October 16, 2017.
He is to succeed late Moshood Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993, presidential election, who last held the title.
Since he was named the recipient of the title, Adams had been engaged in several processes.

It added that the Ibadan-Oyo-Ogbomoso road would have traffic diversion and parking arrangements.

Also expected are obas of the six south-west states and those of Yoruba speaking areas of Kogi and Kwara states, captains of industry; and the diplomatic corps in Nigeria and representatives of foreign governments.
Adams, 47, said Adeyemi found him worthy of the title because he is young and courageous to face any aggression.
