All is now set for President Muhammadu Buhari to move into his official residence at the weekend, TheCable can report.
This may also mark the beginning of a series of activities, including appointments, to finally kick-start his first term in office.
He is expected to announce his chief of staff as well as the secretary to the government of the federation any moment from now.
Since his inauguration three weeks ago, the president has been operating from his rented private residence on Aso Drive, Abuja, and conducting official business from Defence House, which he used as president-elect from early April.

There were speculations – promptly denied by one of his spokesman – that the delay in moving to Aso Rock was because it was undergoing “spiritual cleansing”.
But the state house soon released pictures showing renovation works going at the entrance of the villa.
Ahead of Buhari’s movement into the villa this weekend, Aisha, wife of the president, moved in on Thursday while the husband went to his hometown, Daura, Katsina state, for the commencement of Ramadan fasting.

On Friday, there were movements around the First Lady’s office where the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan used to operate from.
Buhari is expected to return from Daura on Saturday or Sunday.
