Financial inclusion: Ooni visits Digital Space Capital, commends management

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni Of Ife, has commended Olubukola Abitoye, chief executive officer (CEO) of Digital Space Capital, for her foresight and investment in the country’s financial sector.

Ogunwusi said this when he led council members to the Ikoyi headquarters of Digital Space Capital on Friday.

Ooni praised Abitoye for her entrepreneurial acumen, contribution to financial inclusion among Nigerians and job creation for the unemployed in the country.

Speaking on the visit, Abitoye said it was an unforgettable event. 

“It was an important and unforgettable event considering that apart from being a foremost Oba for all Yoruba sons and daughters worldwide,” Abitoye said.

“The Ooni is also an accomplished entrepreneur that people are learning from and always giving support to business owners in Nigeria.”

As part of the visit, Ooni toured the office where he met the company staff. After the tour, he prayed for Abitoye and the company at large.

Kabiyesi also presented Abitoye with a rare art piece that signifies the joy and happiness of a Yoruba woman. He proceeded to take pictures with all the staff members of the company.

Adegoke Adegbami, a non-executive director at Digital Space Capital and Ayodeji Balogun, CEO of AFEX Commodities Exchange, received the monarch.

In March, the Ondo state government conferred an award of the female entrepreneur of the year on Abitoye.
