Ahmadu Fintiri, governor of Adamawa, has approved the payment of the N70,000 minimum wage for civil servants in the state.
Fintiri announced the approval of the new minimum wage on his official X page on Monday.
“As a demonstration of our commitment to the welfare of workers in Adamawa State, I have approved the payment of N70,000 minimum wage starting this August. Our civil servants deserve this and more. Together, we will continue to build a prosperous future for all,” the governor wrote.
During the 2024 May Day celebration, Fintiri pledged to pay the N70,000 minimum wage signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.
