“The LASEMA team and other responders despite all difficulties, are on top of the situation as the fire which has affected almost every section of both buildings is at risk of spreading to other buildings next to them due to proximity and closeness to each other, a situation which presented peculiar difficulties to responders to access the source of the fire in order to effectively put it out on time,” a statement by Nosa Okunbor, LASEMA’s spokesman said.
The LASEMA response team was joined by the UBA FIRE, men of the federal and Lagos state fire service.
According to LASEMA, there were no casualties or fatalities as there was nobody trapped in any of the buildings.
