Fire guts construction site in Lekki

There was a fire outbreak at Craneburg construction site, old Julius Berger yard, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos on Friday morning. 

Margaret Adeseye, director of Lagos State Fire Rescue Service, said the fire has been contained at the time of reporting.

“The fire which involved sets of containers used as store has been curtailed from spreading by the Epe ll fire crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service,” she said.

“The materials used for road construction were stacked in the containerized store as dampening down is ongoing to wrap up the operations.”

Adeseye said no death or injury was recorded from the incident.
