The palace of Rilwan Akiolu, the oba of Lagos, has been gutted by fire.
The cause of the fire at the palace in central Lagos, is yet unknown, but there are reports that firefighters are battling to put off the fire.
The monarch has reportedly been taken to a safe place.

Akiolu was in the news throughout last week for ignoring Adeyeye Ogunwunsi, the ooni of Ife at a programme in Lagos.
