Dangote Petroleum Refinery says trucks owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited have commenced loading premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, at its gantry.

Dangote Group shared videos on X showing the trucks stationed at the gantry on Sunday.

“First set of trucks set for loading of PMS at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery,” the company said.

The development followed NNPC’s deployment of trucks to the petrol-loading gantry of Dangote refinery on Saturday.

“In preparation for the Dangote Refinery’s scheduled petrol loading on Sunday, September 15, 2024, NNPC Ltd. has been mobilizing trucks to the refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki,” NNPC said.

On September 14, the federal government said Dangote refinery will sell petrol to only the NNPC, adding that interested marketers would have to buy the product from the national oil firm.

However, the government said the Dangote refinery can sell diesel to any off-taker.
