Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo, has dissolved his executive cabinet after he was sworn in for a second term in office.
Those affected include all commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants and all sole administrators (SOLADS) of the 27 LGAs in the state.
Speaking shortly after his inauguration on Tuesday, the governor said the dissolution was with immediate effect, adding that this development is aimed at bringing in “fresh persons, ideas and enthusiasm” into the second tenure of his government.
“I want to remind you that whether you will be directly involved in the new dispensation or tangentially involved, wherever you are, you will be proud to have been part of this government,” he said.

“Similarly, I want to appeal to you all to accept my limitations as a human being by not being able to meet your expectations, but I promise that I will strive harder in the new dispensation to do better.
“I want you to bear in mind that your services will continue to be required, having been part of the APC family and government of the day.”
