‘For policy formulation’ — Osun begins registration of PWDs

The Osun government has commenced the registration of citizens with disabilities in the state.

Kamil Aransi, the special adviser on special needs to Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun, announced the development in a statement.

Aransi said all citizens of the state with disabilities must be duly registered without a fee.

He said the 10-day registration will start on May 27 and end on June 7.

He said the registration will help the government to know the exact number of people with disabilities (PWDs) in the state and cater to their needs.

He said the governor is concerned about the welfare of PWDs in the state and is committed to improving their lives.

He added that the information provided by the PWDs will assist the government in policy formulation and implementation and help promote disability inclusion.
