Former sports minister, Bala Kaoje, is far from impressed with the reappointment of Stephen Keshi as the Super Eagles coach by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Keshi was re-engaged by the NFF in a 2-year deal two weeks ago after his initial contract expired after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
But Kaoje has questioned the return of the Big Boss.
“In as much as we should continuously give opportunities to Nigerian coaches to handle the Super Eagles, it ends up being a serious challenge for them,” he told sl10.ng.

“It’s not just enough to train the players and not achieve results consistently. When you take a look at the top coaches in the world, Jose Mourinho, for example, he must achieve a consistent level of success to remain relevant otherwise he’ll be sacked.
“Keshi to a reasonable extent disappointed Nigerians during his last spell and that’s why Nigerians are not happy that he’s been given another opportunity.
“Does he have anything new he’ll add to the system? The answer is no because he has shown us what he can do and I don’t think he can take us farther than we are now.”
