The Albino Foundation (TAF) Africa and Glory City Campus Fellowship have joined efforts to provide financial assistance to students with disabilities in higher institutions.
Chuzzy Udenwa, the founder of the fellowship, asked the government at all levels to help students with disabilities so that they can have a good education, adding that such assistance should include policies and programmes that facilitate education.
He said: “The government plays a crucial role in shaping the educational landscape and its involvement is essential in ensuring equal opportunities for all.”
Udenwa said the partnership is meant to provide financial assistance by paying one-term school fees for deserving students, adding that the effort is an important step towards a more inclusive and equitable educational landscape.

He also explained that the assistance was targeted at deserving students regardless of their religion or gender.
He added that the project which is a joint effort would include other organisations interested in supporting the disability community.

“Together, these entities will identify and select indigent students with disabilities who will benefit from this partnership, ensuring that the assistance is directed at those who are most in need.
“This initiative seeks to address a crucial gap in our society, where many students with disabilities are often denied educational opportunities due to financial constraints.
“The partnership between TAF Africa and Glory City Campus Fellowship aims to create a more inclusive and supportive educational environment that allows these students to thrive academically and personally,” he said.
The educational support was previously provided for primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. However, it is now only available for students in higher institutions.
