Foundation donates items to Rivers residents

The Herbert Onyewumbu Wiwge (HOW) Foundation has made some donations to Isiokpu community in Rivers state to alleviate the pains of the people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Antonia Ally, CEO of the foundation, said people outside Isiokpo community also benefitted from the gesture.

She said the goal of the non-governmental organisation (NGO) is to spread love and alleviate the effects of the lockdown on the people of Rivers.

Ally said the foundation had been feeding several homes and indigents in Lagos state for weeks and decided to move to Rivers.

“We believe that majority of those that are alive today have never experienced a pandemic, and to cushion the effects of the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19, the HOW Foundation had made available palliatives to the people of Isokpo and its neighboring communities in River State,” she said.

She said the serial distribution of foodstuff to people is a conscious plan to tackle the post-pandemic effects.

Blessing Wagor (JP), nye Nwe Ali of Isiokpo community, thanked the foundation, for the gesture.

“We thank the foundation for remembering the people of our community in this troubled period of hunger,” he said.

The foundation has over the years been fighting malaria and prostate cancer with massive awareness to eradicate the health challenges across the country.
