The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun says four people lost their lives and nine others were injured following an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Florence Okpe, FRSC spokesperson in the state, detailed that the mishap occurred around 8:30pm on Sunday.

Okpe said the incident was caused by over speeding on the part of the driver and a tyre burst.

“The suspected causes of the lone crash were speed violation and a tyre burst, which led to loss of control. The vehicle, marked FKJ 570 YE, crashed,” the statement reads.
