At least four persons have been reportedly killed in separate attacks on two communities in Bassa LGA of Plateau state.
The attacks were said to have taken place in Kwachudu and Irigwe on Sunday evening and Monday morning respectively.
Ubah Ogaba, police spokesperson in the state, confirmed the incident to TheCable.
The police spokesperson did not provide details of the attacks but said security operatives have been deployed to maintain calm in the areas, adding that the perpetrators would be made to face justice.

“The incident happened in two different communities, four persons lost their lives — one in one village, three in the other village,” he said.
“Personnel have been deployed to that area to ensure that there is peace while an investigation is on.”
The development is the latest in a series of attacks that have rocked the north-central state in recent weeks.

At least 100 people have been killed in the state within three months — prompting the University of Jos (UNIJOS) to suspend its current academic session.
