With less than two weeks to the kick off of the 8th edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, squad numbers for the Super Falcons of Nigeria have been revealed.
Thomas Dennerby, the team’s head coach, had submitted his final list of players for the mundial on Friday, May 24, to the world football ruling body.
And in line with the Fifa’s rules, numbers designated to each player’s must be announced as well.

Ann Odong, a reporter for the women’s game, took to the Nigerian account of Fifa Women’s World Cup to reveal the list.
Asisat Oshoala, former African women’s player of the year, and Desire Oparanozie, En Avant Guingamp forward, retained their 8 and 9 numbers respectively.
Francisca Ordega also kept her number 17, while Evelyn Nwabuoku will wear jersey number 6. Ogonna Chukwudi will take number 23, while Ngozi Ebere will wear number 4. Halimatu Ayinde is expected to put on number 18, while the number 13 is for Ngozi Okobi.
Debutant Chiamaka Nnadozie will wear number 16, while goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi has number 1.

Onome Ebi, the stallion defender, will stick with the number that tallies with her fifth record World Cup appearance, 5!
The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup will kick off in France on June 7 and come to an end on July 7. The Super Falcons first group A match against Norway will take place in Reims on June 8.
