Francis Ngannou, Cameroonian-French mixed martial art (MMA) fighter, is set to train with Lennox Lewis, the British boxing legend, ahead of his upcoming bout against Tyson Fury.
Ngannou revealed that he would undergo “special training” with “some elite-level pros” to sharpen his boxing skills for the clash.
He also vowed to surprise Fury and make him “regret his life” in the bout.
“I think getting some advice or some training from somebody like Lennox Lewis could be good. I love his boxing style. Very basic but very sharp and efficient. One-two [punches], all that stuff, classic but very good,” Ngannou said.

“He better just get ready for October 28, because if he is not taking this serious, I think he might get surprised and get some regret for his life. I am coming for all; this is my moment.”
On his part, Lewis, a three-time world heavyweight champion, said he is currently negotiating with Ngannou’s team for the training camp.
He added that Mike Tyson, one of the greatest boxers ever, might join the training.

“When I talked to Francis Ngannou a couple of months ago about his boxing training, I advised him on the importance of developing a really good jab. I am happy to support Francis and his team in their preparations for the upcoming fight with Tyson Fury in October,” he said.
“I am currently in talks with Team Ngannou, and I am happy to give boxing advice alongside, my old friend. Mike Tyson.”
Ngannou was the UFC heavyweight champion until he left the promotion earlier this year due to a contractual disagreement.
He then joined the Professional Fighters League (PFL). Ngannou’s contract frees him to pursue his boxing goals.
