Twenty four hours after 27 people lost their lives in separate attacks by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Maiduguri, capital of Borno state, another explosion occurred in a market at the Gamboru area of the town.
A security source confirmed the attack to TheCable but could not give details.
“Yes it is true that there was a bomb blast today, but I don’t have enough information now,” he said.
Residents of the town heaved a sigh of relief after security agents pushed the insurgents out of the town after the first attack but the group struck at a mosque in the afternoon, causing panic.
