Bekeme Olowola, sustainability expert, was recently greeted to a grand reception by friends and her corporate branding guru husband and Meka Olowola, managing partner of Zenera Consulting.
The event was put together in celebration of her appointment to the board of the esteemed Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The resplendent occasion, was graced by friends, family, and industry captains from within and outside the shores of the country; to celebrate her remarkable feat as the first West African to hold a seat on the reputable Board.
Olowola was showered with accolades by captains of industries on her unprecedented accomplishment, highlighting the fact that the consciousness of corporate Nigeria has been awakened to the need to ingrain sustainability in their DNA owing to her actions.

“Bekeme majors in treading uncharted paths. She is not the sort of person that will execute a project in a way that was previously done,’’ Yomi Awobokun, CEO of Enyo Retail & Supply, said.
Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien, Dangote Group’s chief sustainability and governance officer, also commended Bekeme.
