Four persons were confirmed dead in an accident on Friday involving a Toyota Camry car at Area J3 on the Sagamu-Benin expressway.

Florence Okpe, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, said the accident was caused by excessive speed by the driver which led to the loss of control.

Okpe said the vehicle with the registration number BDG 184 FY veered off the road and somersaulted into a swamp.

The FRSC spokesperson said the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the Ijebu-Ode General Hospital morgue.
