Arsenal have been drawn to host Manchester United, English FA Cup holders, in the third round of the competition.
The draws, held Monday night, pit the two clubs that have won the tournament the most times. Arsenal’s record 14 titles will be challenged by 13-time winners Manchester United.
Manchester United defeated City, their cross-town rivals, to lift the cup last season and are facing Arsenal for the 17th time in the competition. It is also the first FA Cup clash between both sides since Manchester United won 3-1 in their fourth-round tie in January 2019.
In other match-ups, Salford City, co-owned by former Manchester United legends, will face Manchester City, last season’s losing finalists, at the Etihad Stadium, while table-topping Liverpool will host Accrington Stanley. Aston Villa will host West Ham United, the second of two fixtures involving two English Premier League sides.
